Vizag Port observes National Maritime Day

Visakhapatnam: Visakhapatnam Port Authority (VPA) on Friday observed the National Maritime Day to spread awareness about international trade and economy. At a ceremony organised here, P.S.L. Swami, Chief Vigilance Officer VPA, laid a wreath remembering the sacrifices of the seafarers and received the guard of honour by the VPA fleet of tugs.

Enunciating the advent of the day he informed that the maritime sector plays a pivotal role in the economic development of the nation and stated that shipping and maritime sectors will ever be sustainable and live up to the expectations of the country.
